VRYHEID Tourism once again stopped traffic to welcome visitors to Vryheid and the AbaQulusi district.
On the overcast, but otherwise humid and somewhat sweltering morning of December 10, Vryheid Tourism, Alet Swanepoel and Annelize Vorster, as well as representatives of local companies took to the R33 to welcome guests and passers by to Vryheid and promote road safety awareness this festive season.
Motorists were treated to a cooldrink and a ‘goodie bag’ filled with reading material and paraphernalia donated by local businesses, promoting Vryheid and the district of AbaQulusi.
The Honorable Mayor, Patience Xaba was present at the frontlines, despite recent hip surgery, personally welcoming motorists and presenting them with their ‘goodie bags’ and cooldrinks with the assistance of other officials and representatives of Vryheid Tourism.
Vryheid Tourism would like to thank the following companies for their contributions to the roadshow: ABI Vryheid; ABSA Vryheid; JVS Towing Vryheid; Nedbank Vryheid; PG Glass Vryheid, who assisted passing motorists with windscreen chip repairs; GlasFit; Vryheid Tourism Association; FNB Vryheid; African Bank Vryheid; Wimpy Vryheid; Standard Bank Vryheid; Build It Vryheid; Oxford Lodge and Khulisa Social Solutions Vryheid.
