The second team took to the field first against the undefeated Piet Retief seconds, who arrived with the upper hand, having beaten Vryheid’s seconds twice already in this year’s league matches.
Bongani’s training regimen involves running 30km every day from his home, in Hlobane, to work in Vryheid’s central residential area, where he is known to be, “an excellent gardener.”
