Inkanyiso educates about Deaf Awareness

Educators and learners at Inkanyiso had a lot of fun teaching their guests sign language.

IINKANYISO Special School held a Deaf Awareness Day on Tuesday, September 19 with officials from various departments.

The deaf children did a presentation where they explained how hearing people can communicate with deaf people even if they don’t have a sign language background.

The deaf educators also signed a poem and story to the school and guests.

The children at the school were thereafter treated to lucky packets, cake, jumping castles and many other activities.

The school would like to thank its sponsors for the cake, t-shirts and every other effort that was put into making the day a success.
