#OperationTakeOwnership sweeps through Vryheid

LONG-TIME Vryheid resident and business owner, Keith Sparrow appears to have set in motion a series of events that has sparked to life an initiative for other residents to take ownership of the clean up campaign that is literally sweeping through Vryheid.

Keith appeared in last week’s Vryheid Herald, alongside Simon Makunga, both armed with shovels in an effort to clean up Church Street outside the post office. Since this initial gesture to improve the town took place, Keith has set up a Facebook page for the campaign and is looking forward to encouraging the rest of the community to get involved in the clean up campaign now recognised as #OperationTakeOwnership.

AbaQulusi Mayor, Jerry Sibiya welcomes the initiative and thanks the community and Mr Sparrow for their dedication and passion for the town.
