A student protest is currently underway in the vicinity of the Cecil Emmett grounds.

Vryheid SAPS spokesperson, Captain Cheryl Venter has confirmed that there are roughly 100 protestors preparing to march to the Mthashana College offices on South Street.

We are told that the students are demanding feedback regarding NSFAS funding, and they have accused the management of the College of maladministration.

A Vryheid Herald reporter is on her way to the scene. This story will be updated as further information becomes available.
