There have been at least eleven crashes at a residence situated where Edward and Spoor Streets meet, in recent times, and it is only a matter of time before someone loses their life.

FIFTY-TWO straws of whoonga (also known as Nyaope) were seized by Vryheid SAPS last week at the Collera Centre on Utrecht Street. Two men were arrested and charged with possession of the drugs, which has an estimated street value of R1 560.
The suspects, aged 21 and 23, faced the magistrate as the prosecutor requested that the case be postponed until November 30, pending a decision from the Department of Public Prosecutors to refer the case to the high court. With the family of the deceased all around them, the two accused showed very little emotion when advised that they would remain in police custody until their next appearance.
THREE armed robbers got away with a large amount of cash stolen from Quik Check last Tuesday.According to Captain Cheryl Venter of Vryheid SAPS, staff were busy with the daily cash-up when the robbery took place.
PANIC has risen in South Africa with the synthetic drug Flakka, also known as the ‘zombie drug’, having hit the shores of Durban.
Members of the public are warned not to carry large amounts of cash. Vryheid SAPS urges residents to consider options that are lower risk. For example, consider making use of cellphone banking and internet transfers to pay accounts, or ATM’s to do banking.
